Linde trained at the University of Pretoria and obtained her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology in 1986.

She lectured in Psychology at the University of Pretoria and UNISA for a period of eight years. In Nelspruit she worked as a lecturer in Personnel Management and as a student counsellor at the Technikon Pretoria: Nelspruit Campus for four years. She also completed her internship during that time and commenced with a part-time private practice in Nelspruit in 1995.

In 2002 she began a private practice where she focuses on the psychological and biological strengths required to successfully master change.

She practices at a wellness clinic and a headache clinic, believing life can only be lived in and through our bodies, that the body is the vessel of feeling, the tool of perception and the storehouse of memory.

Marlene Flett qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1974. She also obtained a diploma in Special Education at UNISA in 1976. She applied her knowledge in various ways in her work with children with physical, neurological, learning and emotional disabilities in government hospitals, schools and in private practice.

Her post as Senior Occupational Therapist at the Denmar Clinic brought her into closer contact with the intersystemic relationships of psycho-bio-sociological dynamics within teenagers and adults for the first time.

She obtained her M Psych in Counselling Psychology at UP in 1997 and completed her internship at the Staanvas Clinic for substance abuse.

She is a founder member of The SHIP^® Foundation, a registered SHIP^®forAdults & SHIP^®forAcuteTrauma Facilitator & the interim trainer for SHIP^®forAdolescents. She has done presentations and workshops in this field.

Esta Hansen is an intuitive and disciplined therapist. She obtained her Master’s degree in educational psychology (cum laude) from the University of Pretoria in 2010.

Esta’s time at Weskoppies Psychiatric Hospital and in the medico legal field were left behind when she discovered spontaneous healing and the power of SHIP®.

Esta has been working with adults, as well as teenagers and children, as a SHIP® facilitator since 2014.

Christel Kieser-Muller started out as a Town and Regional Planner. She soon realised that psycho-bio-sociological dynamics within a system directly impact on a person’s overall well-being and that there are very often underlying emotional problems that need to be addressed before a lasting improvement in a person’s quality of life can take place.

She furthered her studies in Psychology and obtained a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Pretoria in 2005. The following year she completed her internship at 1 Military Hospital. There she was exposed to various aspects of psychobiological imbalances and trauma within a diverse demographic and cultural client base.

In 2005 she started a private practice where she focuses on the facilitation of the process of achieving a balance between the mental, emotional and physical dimensions of a person and improving the quality of life.

Christel began her training as a SHIP^® Facilitator in 2003 and registered in October 2006 as a SHIP^® Facilitator. Christel completed her doctorate in SHIP^®  in 2017.

Liizl Miller obtained her MEd (Ed Psych) and MSc (Clin Psych) degrees at the Universities of Pretoria and Medunsa and completed her internship at the following places: School for Cerebral Palsy, University of Pretoria – Child Guidance Clinic, Weskoppies Hospital – Child, Adolescent and Adult Centre and Jacaranda Orphanage and Eersterust. She registered as an Educational Psychologist in January 1999 and as a Clinical Psychologist in 2010.

Liizl has been a member of a psychology private practice in Pretoria since May 1999. Previously she was employed at the Counselling Department of the Tshwane University from 1995 to 1998.

Liizl began her training in SHIP^® in 1998 and is registered as a SHIP^®forAdolescents & a SHIP^®forAdults Facilitator. Liizl specialises in working with children with emotional challenges, adolescents, adults, marital therapy and trauma psychotherapy.

Dr Elna Schoeman-Steenkamp started her career as a Speech Therapist and Audiologist. She realised that there are very often underlying emotional problems that need to be addressed before healing can take place. She furthered her studies in Psychology and obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Pretoria in 1985. On completion of her internship at Weskoppies hospital she started a private practice. She joined the cochlear implant team at the University of Pretoria, where she played the role of psychologist on the team for 15 years, working with hearing-impaired people. She attained a Doctorate from UNISA on her work with hearing-impaired people.

Dr Elna Schoeman-Steenkamp has been a speaker at various national as well as international conferences on the topic of spontaneous healing as well as the role of nutrition in emotional well being. She is a founder member of The SHIP^® Foundation, has been a SHIP^® for Adults Facilitator since 2001, and obtained her SHIP^® for Adults Trainer status in October 2004.

Dr Irene Strydom completed two Master’s degrees in Educational Psychology (1991) and Guidance and Counselling (1999) at UNISA, both with distinction and received performance awards from UNISA for both these degrees. In 1995 she received her Doctorate from UNISA. Irene also completed three certificate courses at the University of Johannesburg in 2003 (Certificates in Psychopathology, Neurology and Personology) and a Master’s degree (with distinction) in Counselling Psychology (University of Pretoria) in April 2008.

Irene Strydom is registered as an Educational and Counselling Psychologist and runs a private practice. She used to head the Brooklyn Child and Adult Guidance and Development Centre in Pretoria, where therapeutic and remedial services are offered. Irene was a senior lecturer at the University of South Africa (UNISA) till 2007 where she trained registered counsellors and educational and counselling psychologists.

Irene is registered as a SHIP^®forAdults Facilitator and is an interim trainer of SHIPiC^®, which is an application of spontaneous healing principles in child therapy. She has been instrumental in the further development of SHIPiC^®. She also serves on the Board of Management of The SHIP^® Foundation.
In 2005 Dr Strydom presented two papers on spontaneous healing at international conferences in Cambridge and Cape Town.

Dr Jaco van der Walt obtained his MA (Clinical Psychology) degree at the University of Pretoria and completed his internship at Weskoppies Hospital in Pretoria. He registered as a Clinical Psychologist in January 1992 and obtained his PhD (Psychotherapy) degree in 2001 at the University of Pretoria.

He has been working extensively in the psychotherapy and trauma fields as a clinician, project manager, lecturer and researcher. He is also a former board member of the South African Institute for Traumatic Stress and the Gauteng Business Against Crime Victim Empowerment Management Board.

He has been a member of a psychology private practice in Centurion since 2004. He worked at the Psychological Service of the South African Police Service for more than 12 years, where he was Head of Department in Gauteng and also Provincial Head of the Employee Assistant Services in the same province.

He has given numerous lectures and presentations on a variety of topics and held many training sessions and workshops at various hospitals, clinics, organisations, businesses and conferences.

He is a founding member of The SHIP^® Foundation and is a registered SHIP^®forAdults and SHIP^®forAcuteTrauma trainer and chairperson of The SHIP^® Foundation. He is the founder of SHIP^®forAcuteTrauma and has also written various articles on SHIP^®.
